Schedule

Migration Celebration is both an educational and a fun family event.   Our intent is a program that is both informative and fun for all ages.

While the schedule is not yet complete for speakers and exhibitors, the basic program is included in the schedule below.   Be sure to check back for the latest additions to the information.

Migration Celebration activities are centered on the San Bernard National Wildlife Refuge but formally start with a fundraising dinner and featured speaker on Friday evening, April 16th, at RiverPlace in the Freeport Municipal Park.

With the exception of the Friday evening, April 16th fundraising activities, all other Migration Celebration events, tours, presentations, and other activities are free to the public.   This is made possible by the generous donations of time and money by our sponsors, partner organizations and volunteers.

For the Amazing Adventures, we do limit the number of people who can participate so we do request advance registration for these events.   If space is still available, we also will register you on Friday evening, April 16th or Saturday April 17th at Migration Celebration.   Registration will be from the website or by phone.   Registration will open in January 2010.

On Saturday, April 17th, we do schedule you at the Information Booth at the San Bernard National Wildlife Refuge headquarters for the Marsh Buggy rides, Moccasin Pond Van Tours, and Kayak trips. Marsh Buggies rides are a very popular event with limited capacity.   We suggest you get there early to ensure you get a spot.
