Our Migration Celebration Amazing Adventures are designed to give a more focused look at the flora and fauna of the area with our naturalists. This is the reason we restrict the size of the groups to fit the activity. Most of the Amazing Adventures also allow entry into areas of the San Bernard National Refuge not typically open to the public. For example, the "Rail Banding at Night" gives the more serious birder a rare opportunity for close-up views of both Yellow and Black Rails. This effort is part of an ongoing study of rails on the refuge. This is also the most demanding on the participant so read the requirements carefully before signing up. Amazing Adventures are quite popular, so we must limit the number of participants. Accordingly, we require advance registration. Advance registration will open on February 1. If space is still available, you may register you on Friday evening, April 16 (at the Kickoff Dinner) or on Saturday April 17 at the Information Booth.
